The Alameda Unified School District will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Encinal athletic field on January 9 at 3:30 pm. 

The event will include music, speeches, and tours of the field.

The new 47,000-square-foot stadium features a multi-sport turf field, an eight-lane track, field event facilities, new bleachers, a covered press/announcer’s box, a new scoreboard and stadium light system, and a state-of-the-art drainage system that will help avoid puddling on the field after storms.
